Ophthalmology services for senior citizens.
Description:
Ensures that every senior has access to medical eye care and promotes annual, dilated eye exams. Raises awareness about age-related eye disease, including cataracts, provides free eye care educational materials and facilitates access to eye care at no out-of-pocket expense for eligible seniors. Eyeglasses, prescription drugs, hospital services and fees of other medical professionals are not included in the service. Visit Web site to determine eligibility. Audience:
Seniors 65 or older who do not have an ophthalmologist
Eligibility:
Age 65 or over, U.S. citizen or legal resident, not having seen an ophthalmologist in 3 or more years
